Jardín de Mariposas Spirogyra
Spirogyra breeds 20 different species of butterflies and also acts as an agent for other independent breeders. Many of these live in rural communities located on the margins of primary forests, where economic activities are traditionally focused on timber extraction, extensive cattle ranching and agriculture with the use of chemical pesticides, making butterfly reproduction for commercial purposes a very important activity for the care of the country's biodiversity
