Turmeric (Cúrcuma longa) is a plant native to Java and is currently distributed throughout Central America, South America, Asia and the Caribbean. It belongs to the Zingiberaceae family. -Product characteristics: shape: root 4 to 12 cm long, approximately 1.2 cm thick in diameter. Color: Orange Flavor: Unique flavor of this species, combination between slightly astringent and bittersweet. Appearance: root with a succulent, clean and dry appearance.

It is a plant of the Zingiberaceae family, whose root is made up of horizontal rhizomes that are highly appreciated for their spicy aroma and flavor. The plant reaches 90 cm. tall, with 20 cm long leaves. -Product characteristics: Shape: root with a rigid texture, between 7 and 20 cm in length and an approximate thickness of 3 to 4 cm in diameter. Color: The internal coloration varies in white and cream tones and externally it is covered by a shiny hard shell that protects it from diseases and other attacks. Flavor: Spicy, with variations in intensity through the phenological stages of the crop. Appearance: Fresh and appetizing appearance, with a unique aroma of this crop.
